Layer Weather needs your location for local weather and radar. During setup the app explains this, and then iOS asks for permission. You can change that later in the iOS Settings app, under Layer Weather.

The free outfit follows the city your phone is in. If location is off, the app asks you to turn it on. Searching for other cities is part of Pro.

After you create an account, today's outfit, calibration, and opening the app each day stay free for one city: the city your phone is in. Style and formality preferences, and learning from your feedback, are included.

Pro adds extra, saved, and searched cities, live radar, trip packing lists, wardrobe and style presets, Home Screen widgets, Apple Watch, and Live Activities. You can subscribe from Settings or by opening a Pro feature. The price is shown in the app before you buy.

Open Layer Weather and go to the Pro screen. Tap Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple ID you subscribed with.

If the plans do not load, that screen asks you to check your connection and to use Restore Purchases if you already subscribe.

In the app, open Settings, then Danger zone, then Delete account. That permanently removes your profile, wardrobe, packing trips, and sign-in. It cannot be undone.

Layer Weather reads the forecast for morning (6:00 to noon), afternoon (noon to 6:00), and evening (6:00 to midnight). Each part gets its own recommendation from feels-like temperature, wind, humidity, and rain: tops, bottoms, outerwear, shoes, and an umbrella when you need one.

Thumbs up or thumbs down on the outfit tells the app whether it felt right. If you set a commute, the app can warn you about rain and temperature swings before you leave.
